Toxin of the Day #1628

You can occasionally be a little thankful for litter, and pollution can almost redeem itself sometimes.

Recent rains have washed automotive blood into the curb, where it sits and stagnates, its skin cracking, a substance so dead you would never expect it to glimmer with such lively colors. Some stranger recently stood here and pondered and let nicotine kill him a little more, and when he was finished he left the last of the poison behind.

So we have a little dead lake in lovely marbled colors. Perhaps it feeds into the Styx, and perhaps that boat ride to the afterlife isn’t as dreary as we think.

I feel mesmerized and proud
