Chill of the Day #1687

We have our work to do and our pixelated worlds to save, makeshift cinco de mayo food and chocolate pretzels to eat, and there’s no need for one collective activity to drive us all together. I like evenings like this, where we’re together more for company than for some explicit purpose – it feels a bit like living with friends again. It’s nice just to have a shared space, let comments bounce across the room, and stay up a bit too late for the good company.

I’m still at Jacob’s, waiting for the late bus, and I’ll be coming home with no need for the photo-of-the-day ritual before sleep. It’s an odd feeling being up after I’ve posted, like I’m standing in the vacuum between days, living outside of time. It’s an very artificial feeling, but I’ll be savoring it nonetheless.
