Hue of the Day #1805

Hannah gathered her friends together tonight to give Summer a worthy farewell. The party built slowly, starting as a classic kitchen-mingling under the glow of a red lamp (which I tinkered with in-camera here), and eventually the house was rightly flooded with people. So many of Hannah’s friends are talented artists; the air might’ve crackled with creativity, and several illustrations were made over the course of the evening – in the blue book, on the kitchen’s communal poster, on the picture-telephone cards that gradually shifted from a funny story about a dog eating a robot’s lightning to bitter, twisted scrawls.

I’m always quiet at these sorts of things, especially when the music is so insistent on being heard, but its always wonderful to see fantastic people like this.

Let this coming fall be a good one.
