Fish of the Day #1883

Nearly 60 days later, our friendly heliumfish is still residing at Rosie’s home. This is a very long life for its species, granted by the Rosie’s generous gift of a second harvest of helium, but even that is fading and the creature’s end is in sight. Its days of kissing long gone, the heliumfish now spends its days staring out the window, dreaming of the whorled sea of clouds above, too heavy to ever take flight again.

This particular heliumfish has never felt the sky, and never will; it lived out its long life within the walls of Rosie’s home, while other balloons were beaten by the winds and burst in their prime. We have to hope that the trade-off was worth it for this fish.
