Sieve of the Day #1969

I usually forget to pull back the blinds and let the morning sun in, so the living room is often left dark and gloomy. That does leave me this lovely sight, though – thin strands of sunlight bleeding in through the blinds as if through a sieve, making the sun glow in a way that it lacks when it pours in unrestrained.

Windows afford beautiful views and cure claustrophobia, but perhaps there’s some room in architecture for sieves of light as well.
