Red of the Day #2102

I was a diffuse sort of discontent as I walked home today – like tightly-coiled springs dissolved into my bloodstream, perhaps. I wanted a photo but was spurred on by the heat, and kept stopping under the branches of each tree, hoping that the stained-glass leaves would somehow clear away the feeling.

The reds of these leaves and the dark tones their shadows cast on each other are always lovely.

I decompressed on the sofa and my dad brought me pizza, and now I’m feeling better. Nothing in particular was wrong, really – just a chance accumulation of very tiny tensions, soon dispersed.
