Field of the Day #2298

The kebab men, bold and stout and perpetually smiling their tiny blank smiles, are a frequent focal point at work, and even from the other side of the floor you can sometimes hear the clatters and cries of a fierce game. I play occasionally, but don’t have the inner fire that some of the others do. Some of them are especially dangerous when playing defense, scoring from afar with shots that blaze by faster than the human eye can register; it feels, at times, like the entire table will just rupture and shatter from the force of the game.

Foosball and table tennis are the stereotypical tech startup sports, but it’s important to have a reason to get up from your work and put your mind somewhere else for a few minutes, and these games work as well as anything.

I’ve a lot to learn, both in coding and in foosball; perhaps it’s a trade secret that the two skills are interwired.
