Fog of the Day #2311

Laurel and I met for dinner after work, deciding after some deliberation on a place with good grilled vegetables and no apparent interest by other diners. We ate in the nearly empty restaurant under a painting of somewhat unsettling cartoon bees, then had the train ride back to Berkeley together before we parted.

The trains are usually crowded, so it’s especially nice when we get to sit together. When we do get the opportunity, we’ll slowly start to lean into each other, and be nearly asleep by the time we get to our station. The air outside the train is cooler than inside, and up on the surface it’s colder still, so we’re gradually chilled awake before the walk home.

I thought Laurel looked adorable out there, so I stopped to take a picture; she wrapped her hood around her face and her breath fogged up her glasses.

Things are going pretty well.
