Glance of the Day #2319

While I am working I forget to step away and look at other things, so I end up with these quick snapshots. A few of us took a break to get frozen yogurt today, and on the way back we saw a glowing overcast sky pour into this valley of glass and steel. I took a photo quickly, as we crossed the street, and went back to my treat.

I’ve never seen any other city with a network of electric cables like this, all laid out in arachnid fashion for buses to make their way through the streets gas-free. It gives San Francisco another unique fingerprint, I feel, and the impression they have when they cut the sky ought to be acknowledged in the same way that the steep hills and trolley cars and Golden Gate are when people think of the city.

And I ought to take a more deserving photograph of them. Sometime when I am not blinding myself with work – hopefully soon.
