Sunlight drip-filtered through the trees becomes highly volatile, so it evaporates on contact even with a cool substrate like the concrete of our garage. Bubbles of light flicker away, only to be replaced again moments later, and so this tiny silent fireworks show is formed.

A few steps away the traffic is racing by with its impatient whispers – a sound you can never quite escape around here, but which sometimes place nicely with the birds and the breeze.
