Regimen of the Day #2467

Pearce is going to be performing along with Brittany’s band, providing a hearty bassline as well as lending his voice for one particular four-part harmony. When he arrived home tonight, he immediately went to do his regular singing practice in his room; I could hear his voice echoing through the walls as I heated a can of chili in the kitchen. With that complete, he brought out the amp and electric bass, and for nearly an hour played along with a recording of the song he plans to join.

It’s a good regimen he keeps here. Pearce is very good about committing to improving himself; I have ideas and interests and things that I like to work on, but I am not very disciplined about them, and my development probably suffers for it.

Seeing anyone be fantastic at what they do makes me want to be an expert at something as well, but I may just end up as a jack-of-all-trades. Which of course is not terrible, but by the same measure is not spectacular, either.
